Full Version: Stupid Question: why 500MB, like 7GB?

In admin panel, i found this...

Mount Type Partition Percent Free Used Size
/var ext3 /dev/md5 0 % 200.30 GB 487.74 MB 207.09 GB

The system partition ext3 work in this way with a lot of small files? ispCP is informing wrong?... I know that a file of 1Kb ocupied probably 4kb, 32Kb, etc; for the system file... but i found to much 500 x 14 times :S

PD: I don't use Linux before, that could be the reason for don't stand.

Is an output with "df" also wrong ?

PD: well i installed one time a very old Suse, 7 i think... but only "play" some time, and desinstall. it

It's correct to open a ticket for this? or what is the problem of panel for calculate free space?
