just would like to say that i managed to get rid of those crazy iframes
now everything works as expected

a few failures a still left, where the menu on the left is under the content - but i think i get this error fixed, too...
Ok - so the forum & trac is completely templatized
Now i'll have to find a way to integrate acl's into joomla.
So that we can open the faq - area for Bene

So i just tried to tune the trac even more - now we're using mod_wsgi instead of mod_python.
