[ERLEDIGT] VHCS > ispCP

i want to upgrade a vhcs2 server in a few days ...
I have tested migration on VM and it's working so far ...

The migration script did not upgrade the system as i know - so if i have apache2 prefork installed > ispCP is running with prefork ... is that right?

Are there special modifications required in config files and can i install awstats after upgrade with apt so that it is integrated with ispCP?

Regards

OS : Debian 4.0 Etch 32bit

RE: VHCS > ispCP

ispcp runs with worker in default configuration (it seems that worker performs better)

OS: Debian Lenny
ispCP Version: Trunk r1033
Activated: AWStats dynamic, Dovecot, Avelsieve, Selective Greylisting, Bogus MX Filter,
No Webtools, Roundcube, Some own modifications

8 weeks ago on sarge system migration went successfully.
Yesterday i try it again with etch and migration fails ...

I skipped the first step (remove vhcs2) because the perl error message.
Install running fine without errors accept the last one:

Code:
VHCS2's database will now be converted:
        Dropping ispcp table...failed!

I noticed that all my v-hosts missing in ispcp confs and also the user and groups (e.g. passwd file) fails because all users are doubled with different IDs ...

Maybe i have to remove all users before running the migration script ...
but on sarge system i used same procedure without problems.

I try migration again and remove users before ...

what migration script did you use at that time? ispcp-update or vhcs2ispcp?

RE: VHCS > ispCP

Thanks Raphael,

i used vhcs2ispcp.pl for migration ... seems there is a new script :-)

O.K. if i try new migartion script (ispcp-update) i get:
ERROR: Unable to connect SQL server !
failed!

RE: VHCS > ispCP

Is a complete vhcs2 installation requirered for migration script - or is it also working with VHCS2 database and vhcs2.conf only?

I ask about that because i have damaged the vhcs2 installation before by running the wrong script :-)

RE: VHCS > ispCP

i think you need a running vhcs to upgrade to ispCP. So a rcovery is necessary. Tongue

I have no idea, you either have to look at the new script or ask rats (he replaced my migration script with his)
