RE: Mails not reacing HOTMAIL.COM
can you please post the output of postconf -n?
what is stored in /etc/mailname?

I'm not absolutely shure about this: I think the helo should read like "mailname ESMTP IS...". I have somehow in mind that the ESMTP should follow directly after the mailname...

The greeting is straight the smtp_banner from main.cf.

I've contacted msn for this.. A nice and pleasant email conversation awaiting i think Big Grin

Well we haven't archieved anything ground breaking yet, but I got yahoo working.

BTW: Hotmail strongly insists that the SPF record's ~all syntax should be -all

RE: Mails not reacing HOTMAIL.COM
Hi,

Hey, let me put up some updates on this.

I'm actually surprisingly satisfied to hotmail-support, it's actually much faster and more efficient than yahoos.

At the moment our server ip has been put to a mitigation, which means that our server ip is basicly put to forced whitelist. All emails run smooth as a babys bottom. During this mitigation period we should teach the hotmail spamfilters to learn about our emails that they are not spam. We might have all the old problems when the mitigation period is over but at the moment we are concentrated on teaching the filters.

Go check there site about this issue, they have a great page about this issue and go solve all the problems. First of all, it's not easy to be a real administrator as it was for some years ago, now you need to know the RFC's and enforce the rules. It's not that difficult, but easy to fuck up.

Go look at http://postmaster.hotmail.com/Troubleshooting.aspx

I'm not working at MS nor for them. I agree it suck they accept e-mails and they just disappear, but sole the problems and all your e-mails will arrive correctly at MS.
