ok.. here's the deal. I want to install the ventrilo_status php scripts but it complains:
then theres a bunch of subsequent errors. Mainly these will not be here if popen works...

so i tried to get popen working by removing it's "disable" entry in the var/www/fcgi/mydomain.com/php4/php.ini file..

restarted apache...

Still getting complaints about the function being disabled for security reasons..

does anyone know what i've done wrong, or haven't done? I would really be interested in getting this working.

hehe... i'm soch a moron... went from one server that's useing PHP4 to this one that's using PHP5... Thank you very much for pointing that out... it's like finding that errant ' . ' in 400 lines of code you wrote 5 days ago...
