postgresql integration

hello, it would be nice if postgresql was integrated, i read in another post that the gui is able to handle that but not the backend, what does that mean ? does it mean that i can install phppgadmin and thats it or ... can i do something more or what ... any work is being done on doing that integration?

thank you.

RE: postgresql integration

Hi uwe
you can do everything you want... it's open source.

it means: the gui could work with another database backend. But the enginges in behind - which are responsible to read the values from the db and write them in the system files - they are very mysql bound. But they are written in perl so with enough skills and time it's possible to do it with perl...

RE: postgresql integration

I think that uwe wanted to have the ability to control postgresql databases from panel. not to have another database powering the system.

And i must say i would like to see postgresql administration too.

PS.
YAY my first post. Hello Everyone.

Already planning 2.0 lol. 1.0 isn't even out yet and then we have the planned 1.1 with all the subversions in between.

I'm using VHCS and want to change to something better. ispCP Omega is looking to be the answer.
