System Control - excalibre - 01-18-2009 10:12 PM Are their any plans to introduce systems controls into Omega? like service restarts stops and system reboots etc? eX RE: System Control - krok - 01-18-2009 10:37 PM it's a good idea +1 RE: System Control - DiXeoN - 01-18-2009 10:42 PM yea.. would actually be nice to have RE: System Control - gOOvER - 01-18-2009 10:46 PM At the moment, there are no Plan's for such features. Maybe in Future versions of ispCP. If you wish, you can write a Ticket with your Feature wish RE: System Control - Marcel - 01-19-2009 12:02 AM You can use Monit as a interim solution. It has a webinterface where you can restart and monitor your services. RE: System Control - excalibre - 01-19-2009 12:17 AM (01-19-2009 12:02 AM)Marcel Wrote: You can use Monit as a interim solution. I think that the more external commands that are available to this software, then the better it will provide for people and make the difference between a good project and a outstanding project. I like the ispCP, but think it has such more potential to offer. I would personally like to see : start, stop and restart on the following Apache bind ftp All ispCP services restart System restart/reboot I would also like to see a ssh login I would also like to see a command execution box to run a custom command to the system i.e ifconfig or ls /directory/list/ maybe even a custome command script to store your own commands for the system Obviously these would be for the server/system admin only and not available to any other users / resellers eX RE: System Control - RatS - 01-19-2009 02:29 AM Start / Stop / Restart of ispCP related services is already on the whislist and a good point. Rebooting the system not. I'd never give so much power to a webinterface that is not as secured as ssh. SSH-Prompt is stupid (+ same argument like reboot); use a SSH client. |
