delete spam if rated higher than xxx in Maia? - lschafroth - 03-24-2009 12:19 PM

Is there a way to have spam with a rating of lets say higher than 8, just deleted?

Currently my users have to submit hundreds of spam that they have already blacklisted or rated as spam. Some are as high as a rating of 15. They have to keep submitting it as spam.

Shouldnt you be able to delete anything over lets say 8, mark as spam if higher than 5?

I'm using 1.0.2 on ispCP 1.0.0. on Debian Lenny.

Thanks!

Lannie

PS and please dont tell me to go ask in the maia groups. they dont ever respond and the help here is great.

Have not found such a feature in Maia.
Maybe a client rule or a sieve rule on the Server can make it possible ?

if your maia is setup normally,
the spam mails will be deleted after 30 days or so.
If your clients don't login, Spam will be deleted automatically.

I was hoping for a mod to maia that would remove them or block them altogether. If they are blacklisted they should never make it to the users digest.

In some countries (such as germany) it is forbidden by law (Fernmeldegeheimnis)
to automatically delete mails (even if they're tagged unwanted) .

The user has to see each mail or have the possibility to see them (if he want) .
If they're deleted before they reach at least the server gui its clearly against the law.

Because the level of automatic intervention is too high in that specific moment.
This comes together with several other german laws.

when using spamassassin as smtp_proxy_filter you can give the blacklisted mails a high score so that they are rejected while smtp session. So you don't deleted it, you never accepted it....

How and where do I enable this?

well I don't know about maia integration (because of DSN) but the basic concept you will find in a forum thread called "enable spamassassin" (be sure reading the whole thread...)

I found that link and did not find a specific way to enable what I needed. It appears to be many different opinions on how to do stuff, but I found nothing that meets my needs.

At least I dont think so....
