domain name question - robbo007 - 04-23-2009 08:45 PM

Hello all,

I have setup my ISPCP OMEGA server using my public domain "mydomain.com"

All is working fine. I can access the control panel via http://www.mydomain.com

Is there anyway I can use "mydomain.com" as a normal webpage with my companies details then have a link on my webpage to ispCPOmega logon?

Could this be done with a subdomain? cp.mydomain.com??

If so what do I need to do? I have "mydomain.com" registered with an ISP and the name server entries are pointing to my Debian server which hosts the domain and ISPCP OMEGA.

Thanks,

Rob

Did you installed ispCP with the defaults like "admin.yourdomain.tld",
you can create a new site in ispCP called "yourdomain.tld" and upload here your site.
Your ispCP Login is after that under admn.yourdomain.tld - this should exist also now. It´s created druing the setup.

yup, I installed using the defaults but admin.mydomain.com does not resolve. Do I need to create the subdomain admin in the isp's control Panel where I registered "mydomain.com" ?

No, you need a DNS Record to admin.yourdomain.tld that exist.
Best is that you create one with a wildcard "*"
