Yes truly!

But I guess there's no simple way to automate this into ispcp-upgrade.pl. Especially the mailbox migration would always be something that needs to be done manually. Anyway, as a SysOp I'd never trust any upgrade script to automatically upgrade all user mailboxes while updating the panel.

So the thing we could try is... up to 1.1 integrate support for both: keep courier as it is and start adding a select during install/upgrade to use dovecot. We could integrate the SQL additions and quota support in the panel with MDA = dovecot. This would make it possible for users who already installed dovecot by hand, to update regulary with stable release versions.

with 1.2 we could drop support for courier. I think with the current release cycle a 1.2 is two or three years from now... no offense!

I'd realy love to help, but my time is badly limited...

I understand you in every way.

Yes, and this is the mostly problem here!

There are several way to handle it:
Migrate the current System OR
Dovecot support only during the first setup OR
Setup and UpdateScript with a choice between both systems.

Excellent idea Smile Maybe dovecot with quota at fresh install while leaving update ( as more complicated ) for future.
Thanks for taking my suggestion under Your considerationSmile
