RE: Some screenshots

I mean "prototype" I've seen before on VHCS forum in mods section. I didn't say exactly about _your_ skin Smile

RE: Some screenshots

Those Versions have nothing in common.

That Version on vhcs.net was more or less just a new login-page.
And in the old theme (modern_blue).

We thought first, we can use it - but the squirrelmail template engine is horrible and his version was also outdated - so we decided to make it all new.
The other point is - that we've been looking for a while for a good webmailer - the other one we got into nearer thoughts was the horde-framework with imp.
But that one is even harder to skin Tongue

RE: Some screenshots

It looks great! I've been using VHCS for sometime now, but its coming time to rebuild the server. I've been following 'Omega' since It came out, and the progress is looking great.

In reply to the webmail templates, have you tried or thought about skinning roundcube webmail? I use roundcube on my vhcs installation, along with a menu option for the account to reset there mailbox password within webmail. roundcube is very slick and smooth. I like it.

Keep em screenshots coming, along with the stable release Wink

RE: Some screenshots

RoundCube is not officially supported by the VHCS Omega Team, due to RoundCube does not support IMAP (if I remember correctly).

RE: Some screenshots

roundcube supports imap without problems.
But we've chosen to use a webmailer which is compatible even to older browsers.

RE: Some screenshots

Squirrel Mail is really good - has many Addons.
RoundCube use Ajax but is not a must have, only nice to have. Wink

You can add it your self without or with VHCS it think. This is no Problem.
The only think is the directly integration in VHCS Omega is missing.
But thats no reason to install it manually.

Squirrelmail is free and can be used by anyone. Ephigenie is right that blue squirrelmail package stopped being updated at version 1.4.6 so now it's a little bit outdated. Anyone can take it and use it to improve it's visual aspect or even add something more to it.

I am glad that you did such a great job and developed a better VHCS with another fresh and cool look.

RE: Some screenshots

I prefer squirrelmail by far. On my server I also tested roundcube - but it's not stable at all. Thanks to those great ajax hacks...
Nice to see stability is the main criteria to choose components!

Cheers
