The Ultimate Trick to Improve Your Bach Cello Suites

You are going to really thank me for turning you on to this little known trick that can quickly improve your Bach Cello Suites. This was a practice technique given by DC Dounis to help both his violin and cello students play Bach better.

This technique couldn’t be easier…

Take whatever movement you are working on and PLAY IT ON TOP OF THE BRIDGE. I mean right on top of it. You shouldn’t hear any pitch and it will be difficult to keep the bow from drifting off the bridge but be vigilant and don’t give in to playing “ponticello” which is close to the bridge but not exactly on top of the wood.

This bowing technique forces you to following the curve of the bridge and keeps the bow in constant motion when it is changing strings. This is why it has such a profound effect on your Bach cello playing, because one of the most common errors for cellists playing Bach is the inability or undisciplined training of the bow technique during string crossings.

Dounis always said many great players have difficulty playing Bach because they don’t realize how much technique is really required to play it well. Then he pointed out how Bach was constantly filled with difficult string crossings.

So the next time your are playing a Bach Cello Suite play through a movement once or twice a day on top of the bridge and see how positively it affects your performance.

I would like to take a few seconds here and thank the ispCP team for such a great, yet simple product. With all the hosting control panels out there this one has to be the BEST open source option around bar NONE.

I have just finished migrating 4 servers to ispCP on openSuSE from centOS / hsphere server cluster and 1 cpanel server. I can say that if you take both paid CP's and break them down to the core of what a host needs to do, ispCP blows them away on how simple it is to navigate and complete tasks.

From a admin stand point, I love that I do not have to wait on my control panel provider to update packages!! I love the extra security that ispCP
has over the other control panels out there. I also like that I do not have a extra tomcat or apache servers running just for the CP. This means less to keep up with and more power to the users.

User feed back has been good. They like the "uncluttered look of the interface", and "clean of useless tools". And my personal favorite "When I stopped thinking about what I'm looking for, and just clicked whats needed it works flawless"

If you have not tried it you should!

If you need help with migration planing or have questions about the change from your current CP to ispCP feel free to drop me a line.

Just wanted to give you guys a thanks for this great software. Just wish I knew enough to help patch some of the little annoyances I see. However they are few and far between as of late.

And for anyone who finds this post heres my review of ispcp.

Stupid easy. Follow the bullet proof instructions for install and it just works. There are a few gotchas like weird ip subnets, changing server ip and php version issues on RPM distros. However its very minor for most linux admins to fix with a little help from the forum. I Now; however followed the debian and ubuntu instructions perfect every-time. You can literally go from a new install to ready to host in 2 hours or less which amazed coming from a heavy windows user point of view. (Ever install exchange) The best part is the users/clients can manage themselves. The user accessible ftp backups are just one of the few usability things that make work so well. As well as the security timeout for failed logins just seeing the little overlooked things being done makes me fell very confident in the security of the package.

How to easy install skype on Debian Squeeze AMD64

On the net, we can found several howto about skype installation on Debian Squeeze AMD64. Here I proposes a solution that allow to install skype without installing the i386 packaged version by forcing it via dpkg:

I. Getting static skype version:

1. Go to the /opt directory as root:

Code:

# su
# cd /opt

2. Go to the skype site home page, create new account or connect you with your current skype login credentials, and then, download the static version of skype like this:

Code:

# wget http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-linux-beta-static

3. Extracting skype archive:

Code:

# tar xjfv skype_static-2.1.0.81.tar.bz2
# mv skype_static-2.1.0.81 skype
# cd skype

II. Installing dependencies:

1. Install all libraries required to emulate 32bit environment:

Code:

# aptitude install ia32-libs ia32-libs-gtk lib32asound2 lib32gcc1 lib32ncurses5 lib32stdc++6 lib32z1 linux32

# Todo libasound2-plugins / bluez-utils

How to easy install skype on Debian Squeeze AMD64

On the net, we can found several howto about skype installation on Debian Squeeze AMD64. Here I proposes a solution that allow to install skype without installing the i386 packaged version by forcing it via dpkg:

I. Getting static skype version:

1. Go to the /opt directory as root:

Code:

# su
# cd /opt

2. Go to the skype site home page, create new account or connect you with your current skype login credentials, and then, download the static version of skype like this:

Code:

# wget http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-linux-beta-static

3. Extracting skype archive:

Code:

# tar xjfv skype_static-2.1.0.81.tar.bz2
# mv skype_static-2.1.0.81 skype
# cd skype

II. Installing dependencies:

1. Install all libraries required to emulate 32bit environment:

Code:

# aptitude install ia32-libs ia32-libs-gtk lib32asound2 lib32gcc1 lib32ncurses5 lib32stdc++6 lib32z1 linux32

I had 2 major upgrades to complete and both went flawlessly, one being the OS and the other was ispCP itself. I had fully expected just the OS upgrade to at least break *something* but it didn't at all and from start to finish it was only about 20 minutes of nail biting and tense moments with the final result being me completely up to date.

Congratulations and please keep this amazing work up
