kingofkya, as far as i can determine, it's an issue with PHP 5.3's stricter handling of parameters in functions.. Use the solution in this post.

RE: pages work but dont dispaly corectly brackets everywhere
I think i hit report rather that submit on my edit sry:

thanks for the help

I noticed on the guide it said version 1.0.3 so i downloaded the svn and for the most part it works.

ispCP 1.0.3 OMEGA
build: 20090823
Codename: Orpheus

I do have 2 other question related to proftp i looked though the stuff in the wiki and i don't see a solution.

when i hit chose directory from the create ftp user page proftp gives me this:
http://www.xxxxxx.net (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - USER tmp_4b1df9fb33770@xxxxx.net (Login failed): Incorrect password.

also when , when a "user" acount is created what still needs to be set up once its there because the webroot folder doesn't link to anything i see.

Thanks again
also as a side note i think i found a bug

on centos if the install script dies and it is rerun it never updates the proftp.conf with a new password

Sounds like the has bug I ran into. What version of PHP are you using?

Webroot folder? Could you explain what you are looking for? There should be an "htdocs" folder, which is the root of the website and it should have the base template in it.

i mean when you make a new ftp user it goes to /home/user/ not /var/www/virtural/site

and /home/user has a webroot folder thats all

I don't believe PHP 5.1 works well with ispCP Omega, you should use the latest PHP packages from the REMI repository (see CentOS install documentation on the wiki here). At the very least, I haven't tested with that early of a PHP 5 version.

vsftp is installed and running by default. Make sure to stop the service and remove it and start proftpd. That little part was left out of the install instructions.

PHP 5.3.1 is running now and vsftpd is removed

however the issues remains that the ftp is going to the home directory.

and it turnes out its reading the unix users because i can remove the user via the gui and proftp can still connect with that user id also any user created in the gui can not connect.

does any of this mean anything
