RE: What is included in a Relase Candidate?
Hi there, allow me to shed some light into the development process of ispCP.
Version 1.0 is feature freeze, it means no new features will be added. Only bug fixes. However RC5 is almost done and will be released soon. This leaves the dev team with some time to work on possibly releasing another candidate RC6 in order to get the public to test and submit bugs. If no major bugs are found, then expect a final v1.0 release.
There are many great things planned for ispCP, however in the hope of not delaying the project more than needed, almost all of this is postponed to v1.1 - after the 1.0 release.
The idea behind the development cycle is rapid pace, fix and release. Release often, release lots, fix often, fix lots. I believe this is the right attitude to approach a project of this size, importance and magnitude
