Ispcp_daemon not working under Slackware 12.0 or CentOS 5

Reported by: Sw1fty Assigned to:
Priority: major Milestone: ispCP ω 1.0.0 - RC4
Component: Daemon Version: ispCP ω 1.0.0 - DEV
Severity: Keywords:

Description (Last modified by raphael)

Everytime when I try to add a domain to the panel the following is shown in /var/log/messages on both distributions:

Oct 13 13:43:55 ispcp ispcp_daemon[11074]: child 11074 started !
Oct 13 13:43:55 ispcp ispcp_daemon[11074]: send_line(): socket write error: Connection reset by peer
Oct 13 13:43:56 ispcp ispcp_daemon[8909]: EINTR was received ! continue;

And on CentOS5 the package list doesn't install needed packages because they are wrong and some packages are missing.

How to fix, I've no idea of CentOS

I've made a Configfile for Centos which solves the problem: http://mirrors.penguinfriends.org/ISPCP/CentOS-5.0/ispcp.conf

And also a new packagelist for CentOS 5: For yum: wget http://mirrors.penguinfriends.org/ISPCP/CentOS-5.0/yum-package.list

But you need some other packages too to fix the problem: http://mirrors.penguinfriends.org/ISPCP/CentOS-5.0/ There is also the installation manual.

The new config and extra packages also solves the ispcp_daemon problem under CentOS.

  • priority changed from critical to major.
  • description changed.

Check the correct path for /etc/aliases.db and fix it. If you have further problems, enable debugging on the engine and then manually run the requests manager. You will then have more human-friendly messages to know what's wrong.

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to fixed.

I hope I've fixed all the issues in r993. Please test and reply!
