VHCS 2.4.7.1 --> ispcp 1.0.2: Mail issue
Hi all,

now i need your help. I am getting crasy by not finding the error .-(
May be you can help me.

I did an update from VHCS 2.4.7.1 to ispcp 1.0.2 like descripted in the howtos:
1. VHCS to ispcp
2. ispcp on Debian update

Everything went ok except the mail issue. No login to mta possible.
Here the log file:

Quote:May 25 11:18:09 server imapd: Connection, ip=[::ffff:X.X.X.190]

Here my smtp.conf:
Quote:pwcheck_method: auxprop
auxprop_plugin: sasldb
mech_list: PLAIN LOGIN CRAM-MD5 DIGEST-MD5

Where can i set new passwords for the users?
Does it have to do with the key files?
I tried to change the new keys from ispcp with the ones from vhcs2 but the the access to the DB failed.

I also tried to update the DB with toadd and run the ispcp-rqst-mgr but is doesn't solve the issue.

Is it possible to update now directly to the ispcp 1.0.5 version? May be a better way?

Any else needed?

Hello all,

its really urgent !

But I did a mistake I used ispcp-omega-1.0.0.tar.bz2 and not 1.0.2 as written before.

maybe set all mail-accounts to status "change" and run the request manager - but also maybe better try first with one account :-)

try to rename the smtp.conf (and deactivate authdaemon - postfix is able to handle the SASL things alone).

Have a look at /etc/sasldb2 (a good text viewer), can you see the right passwords there?

I tried it before. Nothing changed by setting the parameter to 'change' or 'toadd'.

Really? postfix handels the sasl itself? Thats new to me, good to know !

I can see a lot of email addresses but the password is not really readable .-)

RE: VHCS 2.4.7.1 --> ispcp 1.0.2: Mail issue
hm - I have things like this in the sasldb2:
aassdd4.test1.als1dom1.tld
where aassdd4 is the pw for the mail test1@alsdom1.tld

maybe your sasldb2 has crypted/hashed passwords... then I don't know if postfix handles this... (but also authdaemon seems to have problems...)...

Important: ispcp should know the real passwords (crypted in the DB) - there's a command line program somewhere in the forum to get the cleartext passwords for every mail-user on the system. This may be usefull to check if this part is ok.

Hi,

thanks for your help.
I did the migration on an other system now.
Had a lot of issues with ubuntu and the packages therfore I went to debian back .-)

BTW: Do you have the link to this program? I am too stupid for the search engine, couldn't find it .-)
